09/29/2011 Categories: Dining Out Restaurants

Have you tried Restaurant.com yet? Now is a great time to try them! Get almost all of their gift certificates for 90% off using code WOW at checkout. There are several Cy-Fair area restaurants available!

Here's how it works:

1. Go here and search for restaurants available in your area.
2. Purchase the denomination of Gift Certificate you want.
3. Add it to your cart, proceed to checkout and use code WOW as your promo code. You will see your total drop by 90%. (Right now, $25 gift certificates that are normally $10 only cost $1!)
4. You will now have this certificate listed in your account. Print the certificate before you go to the restaurant.
5. At the restaurant, order at least the minimum required total to use your gift certificate.
6. Present the certificate when you order.
7. Pay your check total remainder when the bill comes.

It may seem too good to be true, but it's not! Just make sure you read the minimum requirements that are written so you know what kind of deal you're getting. Some $25 gift certificates require at least a $35 minimum purchase, but some require more.

Family Fun at Dewberry Farm

09/15/2011 Categories: Daily Deal Deal of the Week Family

Here's a deal for a great family fun activity! Get admission for two to Dewberry Farm for only $12 ($24 value)!

Choose from two options ( you may purchase two, but limit one per visit):

•Admission for two on any one of the following dates: October 29–30, November 5–6, or November 12–13.

Dewberry Farm celebrates the fall season with a cornucopia of autumn-themed youth and adult attractions spread across rich farmland. Tractors carrying visitors in hay wagons bump and roll down to the 8-acre pumpkin patch, where groups can select and purchase a pumpkin or pose for a photo with Cinderella’s out-of-work carriage. An 8-acre corn maze confuses the directionless with a series of word-play puzzles and three miles of paths carved in the shape of a strolling pumpkin, which opens out onto Punkin Hollar’s 500 lit jack-o'-lanterns. This year's corn maze features a tribute to NASA and 50 years of space discovery. Other attractions include the Dewberry barnyard filled with bunnies, a hay mountain and roller slide, and Little Farmersville for young children, as well as the landmark Golden Goat Bridge, where furry beasts bound across a 20-foot suspension bridge in search of treats on child-powered conveyor belts. After a day of animalian activities, farm-goers can wander through the country store, eyeing old-fashioned gifts and farm fare, including Dewberry farm honey and apple enchilada.Dewberry Farm celebrates the fall season with a cornucopia of autumn-themed youth and adult attractions spread across rich farmland. Visit their 8-acre pumpkin patch, where groups can select and purchase a pumpkin or pose for a photo; and an 8-acre corn maze featuring a tribute to NASA and 50 years of space discovery. Estate Sales - A Great Place to Find a Deal

Estate Sale Deals

Have you ever been to an estate sale? I went to my first one recently. I can’t believe I haven’t been going every weekend!

My mom turned me onto this site EstateSales.net. You can search by your zip code to find upcoming estate sales in your area. The last time she was in town, we found one that was not too far away and got there early on the first day of the sale. I definitely recommend arriving early for the good stuff.

Here are the great finds we came across! I found a Food Saver with a set of unopened canisters, two marinators and an unopened box bags for only $25 (retail $229), a George Foreman grill for only $12 (retail $50), and a Starbucks French press coffee maker for only $6 (retail $29.99)! The Food Saver will continue to save me money because I can seal meats, cheeses, and other foods in a vacuum-sealed bag and it will prevent my food from going bad so quickly. Food waste equals money waste!

Have you ever been to an estate sale? What kind of great deal did you find there? Please leave a comment and let us know!
