Kiboomu.com is giving away a one-year membership to their site, where parents can download a variety of kids music. This is a $24 value (but we think it's priceless)!

With this prize, you'll have access to unlimited music downloads. Here's more about the site: "Kiboomu was officially launched in January 2010. It was founded by two women who share a passion for children, music, education, and fun. Kiboomu is a Montreal-based development company that specialized in creating award-winning children's music for mobile apps, song downloads, album downloads, and kids music videos that promote learning through music and fun!"

I had the chance through Shara at Mommy Perks to review Kiboomu.com and 20 songs of my choice. The timing was perfect since I just had triplets and wanted to expose them to music early - especially some of my favorite childhood songs. The site allows you to download all the kids music you want for only $2 a month. With this, you can customize your own cds, which would be great for teachers, parents, etc. I chose songs including All the Pretty Little Horses, Be Careful Little Hands, Brahms' Lullaby, Carol of the Bells, Five Little Monkeys, Jesus Loves Me, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I liked that there was a wide variety, including Christian, holiday, childhood songs, educational songs, lullabys, instrumental, and even music from different countries. In addition, I really liked that there were several varieties of the same song - that way I could choose the one I was familiar with or liked best. Another plus, the songs aren't all sung by one person or all by children - there are men's, women's, children's, and choral voices represented. The songs are fun and energetic, so kids can't help but have fun listening to them. I think parents would probably enjoy them too - these aren't just songs that you'll have to put on in the car and hope you don't get a headache - they're actually enjoyable for adults too!

You can also find crafts, printables, recipes, and more on the site - so even if you don't win this giveaway, it'd be a great resource site to invest the $2 a month fee!

Here is one of my favorite recipes in which to use 1^st Step Pro-Wellness protein powder:

Homemade Protein Bars (costs about $.60/bar)

Ingredients:
1 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
Stevia (to taste) for baking
¼ cup water
1 cup dry uncooked old-fashioned oatmeal
3 1/2 scoops 1st Step Pro-wellness protein powder (I used chocolate flavored.)
1 tsp vanilla or to taste
Cinnamon to taste

Spray a 9x9 glass pan with a bit of Pam. Set aside. Melt peanut butter, honey and water either in a microwave or on the stove top. Add the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Thoroughly mix melted peanut butter mixture into the bowl with the other ingredients. Press the mixture into the glass pan and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Once they firm, you can cut them into squares.

They have several products to choose from, including those made from guitar strings that are being reviewed, as well as stickers, bowls, journals, coasters, tees, and more.

The Wear Your Music Fashion Bracelets are under $20 and give a portion of the proceeds to charity. These bracelets are made from either guitar strings or bass strings and come in 7 different colors. The guitar strings are intertwined and then dipped in either gold or silver - custom made to fit each person and include the initials of the musician on the clasp. 100% net proceeds from the sale of this bracelet goes to the musician's charity of choice. Original Artist bracelets start at $50.

The folks at Wear Your Music were kind enough to send several bracelets for me to review. I kept 2 to use as bangles and gave the other two to my brother (a musician) and his wife, so that I could get some other opinions, making sure one was a guys. Here's what we thought:

Brian: He had to practically beg me to wear one. He chose the gunmetal grey one, and being a guitar player, was very excited to wear it. "I love the bracelet. It is the perfect color, doesn't pull at my arm hairs, and is related to something I love. It's not too girly either, so I have no problem wearing it. I got a lot of compliments too - even from guys who said they wouldn't normally wear bracelets either."

Lindsay: She was very excited to participate, even going around when she was out that evening asking others what they thought. "Everyone wanted my bracelet, asked how it was made, and wanted to know where they could get one. They all thought it was cool." She even slept in it, wore it in the shower, and was pretty hard on it. "I have a small wrist and have trouble finding bracelets that fit, so I love that this one was adjustable and fit well. I also showered in it and it had no damage. I love that you can wear more than one also, since they're so small."

Me: I had the opportunity to wear two, and I'm not much of a jewelry wearing type of person. I liked how slim they were, how much they complimented each other. I also had no trouble with it when I was typing up this review - it didn't get in my way like some bracelets do. Overall, I think I'll wear it again - and I love that the money is for a good cause.
