thank youAs another school year comes to an end we as parents begin to think back on everything our child has learned and how they have grown in the past year.  Although, they have made the effort and the work themselves, they could not have done it without their teachers.  Teachers work very hard all year through with their students and their biggest accomplishment is to see them succeed.  Now is a great opportunity to show those teachers how grateful we are of them and the hard work they have put in all year.

Here are a few gift ideas for teachers:

  • Gift Basket:  This is something that the entire class can share.  The classroom lead parent can send out an email to all the parents.  Every child should donate a special gift such as any of the other items listed here and then arranged in a beautiful basket and presented by the class.

  • Gift Cards:  Teachers LOVE gift cards because they are able to purchase something that they really want or like.  Have you or your child ask their teacher what their favorite store, mall, coffee place, spa or restaurant is.  Teachers will appreciate any amount, but I would do between $10-$25.

  • Personalized Coffee/Water Mug:  A teacher’s personalized coffee/water mug with a special saying is sweet and memorable.  This is something that they will use year round.

  • Stationery Set/Thank You Cards:  Teachers are always writing notes home or sending thank you cards.  A nice set of stationery or thank you cards with the teachers name or initials on them is a great gift he or she will use all year long.

  • Tote Bag:  Teachers are always carrying planning books and other resources home and to school.  A personalized tote bag with the teachers name or even the students name is a wonderful gift they will cherish for many years.

No one knows their teachers more than the students, so ask your child what they think their teacher might like.  They might just surprise you!  The thought is what counts, so no matter what you decide your child’s teacher will be appreciative and most grateful!

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau,
sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth."  ~Dan Rather
