About Me: April Pearson is the chief contributor to the Discounts and Sales page of Simply Cy-Fair. She also adds jobs and events to the site. Married with children, she has lived in the Cy-Fair area for 10 years. Originally from Baton Rouge, she moved to Houston after receiving her degree from LSU. As a stay-at-home and a former internal auditor in public accounting and banking, she is driven to find that perfect deal on just about everything. April also runs the blog Deals That Make Cents in order to share her money-saving tips and tricks. Born with a bargain-hunting gene and living on a limited budget, her goal is to save on the necessities of daily living. About Me: Deanna Parmenter is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a CPA with a specialty in forensic accounting, with over 7 years’ experience as a small business owner. She holds BBAs in both Finance and Accounting from the University of Houston and an MBA from the University of Edinborough, Scotland. Deanna is currently a consultant with a small consulting firm in the Houston area and serves on the board of a local non-profit that assists the elderly. She raised her children in the Cy-Fair area and continues to have strong ties to the community. In addition to her forensic work, Deanna also enjoys many activities such as quilting, playing tennis, playing the piano, and riding her motorcycle.

About Me: Shara Lawrence-Weiss is the mother of three and has a background in education, early childhood, special needs, nanny work, freelance and marketing. She currently owns and runs Mommy Perks, Kids Perks, Personal Child Stories, Early Childhood News and Resources and is the co-owner of Pine Media. Shara is an active Library Board Member. She, her husband and three kids reside in a small town, nestled in the woods. They enjoy walking, working around the house, reading, supporting their local businesses, attending town business and charity meetings and spending time together.

About Me: Nadia Saqr came on board as the Marketing Coordinator for Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital in 2007, but was quickly promoted to Marketing Manager in 2008. In her role, she works to ensure that the Cy-Fair Hospital name is one the public trusts, and spends countless hours putting together free events for the community, writing articles and giving tips and resources to the community through their monthly e-letter and also their quarterly magazine, About Your Health, and keeps community members up-to-date on health issues through the Cy-Fair Hospital Facebook and twitter accounts. About Me: Diana Saufley has been decorating her entire life. She has always wanted to make people feel special, especially in their own environment. Her first passion was as a Registered Nurse, and while she enjoyed it, it didn’t feed her creative talents. In 1999, she left her career and began training as an interior designer. In 2002, she started her own interior design business, 3D Interiors, which became Diana Saufley Designs in 2011. She loves serving the Cy-Fair community and in addition to her design work, she enjoys versatile activities involving sewing, candles, soaps, gardening, crafts, cleaning, and organizing. She’s been called both Martha Stewart and June Cleaver (but doesn’t vacuum in pearls or heels).

About Me: Chrissy Bernal grew up in Cy-Fair and started writing short stories as a young girl. She received many awards for her writing abilities as a child and an adult. She has her BA in Mass Communications/Journalism from Mary Hardin-Baylor. Recently, her children's book, Sienna's Locket, was published. The Bernals are a diverse family consisting of Chrissy and her husband Joey; Austin, 16 and 12-year-old twins Sierra and Sienna--the only known set of twins where one is a Primordial Dwarf. It is Chrissy’s vision that others would be inspired and educated through her writings and would see that they have the ability to do great things once they allow themselves to see that what makes them unique can be what makes them great. About Us: Melanie & Justin Vitovsky are the proud parents of twin boys, one of which is autistic. They’ve been residents of Fairfield for more than 5 years and love the neighborhood. Inspired by the amazing and unexpected blessing of having a multiple birth, they started TWINkieBabies in 2010 to begin a resource for parents of multiples and a single location for purchasing unique and useful products related to parenting and young children. Both Melanie & Justin grew up in and around the Houston area and are both very familiar with the Northwest Houston area. Melanie has a business background in advertising and marketing as well as experience in real estate and insurance. With her business background and her love of photography, reading, research, and parenting, she draws from a rich and diverse range of knowledge and opinion. She has a strong Faith in Jesus that she hopes to instill in her kids, while strengthening and continuously growing in her own relationship with God. Justin graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Business in 1999 and works full time in the Kingwood area as a Business Development Manager in Adjacent Business Development for a human resources company. In his off time he enjoys movies, video games, TV, camping, and trips to the splash pad with his twins.
